US: The White House supported the bill to end the Green Card quota,
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has had excellent placements this year. A total of 918 students got offers at the end of the fifth day of placements, the institute said on Tuesday. IIT Kanpur said in a press statement that a total of 181 national and international companies have made 770 job offers to the students.
This is in addition to the 207 pre-placement offers made earlier. IIT Kanpur said, “At the end of the fifth day, the institute has received a total of 770 job offers from 181 national and international companies. So far, 918 students have secured jobs through campus placements and PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers). 207 students have secured PPOs from national and international companies, almost 33% more than the placement session 2021-22.
The institute informed that the highest ever domestic package is Rs 1.9 crore, and overall, 33 students have received packages of more than one crore.
IIT Kanpur said, “Last year, the highest package at the end of Phase 1 of the placement season 2021-22 was USD 287,550 for international and Rs 1.2 crore for domestic. Out of the 47 international offers received during the last year, this season So far, IIT Kanpur has received a total of 74 international offers.
IIT Kanpur said that this year’s top recruiters are Rakuten, Intel, Capital One, Google, Barclays, Citi Bank, Wells Fargo, Airbus, SLB, Texas Instruments, WorldQuant, Qualcomm, EXL, HSBC, Jio Platforms, Axis Bank, SAP Labs, Rakuten Mobile, Enphase, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, and Square Point Capital.
